The following simple dart game rules
govern all games of darts.
- Any dart can
be used provided it is under 55 g.
- The
height of the board should be 5 feet 8 inches above the ground.
- The
distance from the thrower’s line to the board is 7 feet 9-1/4
inches.
- Who
throws first is determined by an initial throw. The closest to the
bull wins. Called 'Bull up'.
- If the
feet of the player cross the line, all three throws are disqualified.
- Darts that bounce off the board or land
outside go as empty throws without any points.
- The colors are just a guide. The wires
embedded on the board determine the points.
- Nine throws are allowed as warm up exercise
before the game.
- A dart must stay on the board for 5
seconds to be counted as valid.
- If a dart is dropped while throwing,
it counts as a throw.
- If a scoring
error is not reported immediately and the players make their throws,
the score can not be modified and the game continues.
